Microfiction Monday and "I'd rather be..."

We'll cut to the chase.  Another Microfiction Monday with Stony River:

Agnes knew she was in trouble when he sent the creepy star cherubs after her.  They were everywhere.  She could hide, but he would find her.

And and "I'd rather be..." just for your Monday:

I'd rather be at work than watching my 7 nieces and nephews plus my own 2 curtain climbers jump in and out of the pool.  Whew, that's nerve wracking.  I can't tell you how many times I did head counts this weekend.

Have a Happy Monday!

I'd rather be at work than trying to entertain a seven year old and an 18 month old all by myself.

A great MM. You know you're in trobule when those 'creepy cherubs' are after you LOL.

I'd rather be in a nice cold swimming pool than in this heat!

I'd rather be at work than be unemployed. :-)

I'm thinking the creepy cherub pursuit is DIRECTLY related to your weekend of headcounting! Wow! You're a brave woman!

Very good Microfiction!

Nasty little Cherubs. I hope Agnes gets away without too much bother.

Maybe Agnes needs to get the cherubs on her side somehow. I hope she manages to stay hidden.

Great "voice" in this MM, Mama B. Trouble indeed!

You're not kidding! Being around the pool with little ones is stressful!

Oh boy, I like your take on it this week! Are those ninja stars I wonder?

My son is nagging for a pool. Good Lord, is that the last thing I need or what, lying awake at night wondering if neighborhood kids are climbing the fence to drown in the dang thing. Having to watch them all would be a whole 'nother torment! I hope you had a good rest and reward after that.

I'd rather have all this housework done that sitting here looking at it. My batching days will be over next Wednesday.

Thanks for peeking at my µ-fict. I am loving these different takes, yours is a on the human because we can relate to hosting seven kids! [Sorry I'm so late in getting here.]
